  • 1972

    Developed China's first 18kW wind turbine, marking a historic breakthrough in medium-scale wind power generation technology.

  • 1997

    Successfully developed the 200kW wind turbine, which passed official technical appraisal.

  • 1998

    Independently developed the 250kW wind turbine, becoming the first domestically-made model to enter commercial mass production.

  • 2003

    Introduced licensed production of the WD49-750 turbine in collaboration with Germany's REPOWER. Over 500 units have been installed, with an average availability rate exceeding 97% and some in operation for over 13 years.

  • 2006

    Won the national wind power concession project—Zhangbei Danjinghe Wind Farm Project in Hebei Province.

  • 2008

    Launched the WD1.5MW series, the first mass-produced WTGS featuring load-optimization control technology.

    Developed and mass-produced the world's first biodegradable bamboo wind turbine blades.

  • 2010

    Hosted the State Key Laboratory of Wind Power Technology.

    Completed joint-stock restructuring, establishing Zhejiang Windey Wind Power Co., Ltd.

    Recognized as a National Pilot Innovative Enterprise.

    Successfully launched the 2.5MW wind turbine.

  • 2011

    Dalí Dafengba Wind Farm project received the National Silver Medal for Quality Projects.

    Accredited as an Academician Expert Workstation.

  • 2012

    The 1.5MW turbine passed zero-voltage ride-through (LVRT) testing by the Electric Power Research Institute.

    Two major provincial R&D projects—Localization of Key Technologies for 2.5MW Variable-Speed Constant-Frequency Wind Turbines and Development and Demonstration of Wind Power Equipment for Coastal and Island Areas—passed official acceptance.

  • 2013

    China's first EHN retrofitted prototype for low-voltage ride-through (LVRT) successfully passed testing.

    Launched the Postdoctoral Research Workstation.

  • 2014

    Received the Special Prize of China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award for the “Development and Demonstration of High-Capacity Wind Turbines” project.

  • 2015

    Officially released the National Standard for Typhoon-Resistant Wind Turbines, under Windey’s leadership.

    The State Key Laboratory of Wind Power Systems passed national accreditation.

    Won the First Prize of Zhejiang Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award for the R&D and industrialization of typhoon-resistant wind turbines.

    Successfully completed China’s first primary frequency regulation test on a wind turbine.

  • 2017

    Secured its first international patent, marking a breakthrough in global IP.

  • 2019

    Listed on the A-share market.

    Awarded the China Machinery Industry Science and Technology Award.

  • 2020

    Received the Excellent Patent Award of China.

    Completed hoisting of the first turbine at the 50MW Ninh Thuan Chinh Thang Wind Farm in Vietnam.

    Grid-connected Windy’s first self-developed and operated wind power project.

    Won the Zhejiang Provincial Government Quality Award

    Awarded the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award

    Appointed as Convener of the IEC International Standards Working Group (JWG25)

    Launched the world’s tallest (170-meter) truss-type wind turbine

    Commissioned the world’s highest-altitude (5,158 meters) wind farm in Tibet
